Longkeeper Farm produces soil less living microgreens on a ten acre farm situated in the Bombay Hills south of Auckland.

Our living Microgreens are grown in a 325 square meter green house with full climatic control systems.

We produce our living microgreens in a natural hygienic growing media in a sustainable clean environment grown with care.

We believe environmentally sustainable, commercial farming is possible in small spaces.

Using the best of traditional growing techniques paired with innovation and technology combined with a focused business approach to achieve high crop yields from small spaces.

Our vision

We grow flavour, using natural seed selection delivering commercially sustainable hygienic living microgreens.

Our model

Minimum space and labour inputs for max production through innovation. The growing environment is organised in the same way as my kitchen, clean, hygienic & structured. Growing mimics kitchen ‘mis en place’ & service. Planting and harvesting daily, delivering living microgreens to both the local and international kitchens. Growing with care in an environment useing full computerised climatic control and irrigation systems to deliver a consistent year round product.

We use the on four meter wide rolling tables enabling the crop to move with ease between germination, growing and harvest zones.

Water delivery to crop is via an automated irrigation boom capturing each crops water requirements. The green house is twin skin air inflated with full computerised climatic control systems, to optimise the best growing environment.
